Cycling & Walking for Menstrual Freedom

For Riders and Walkers…

In Nepal, everyday, 190,000 women menstruate. But 82% of women in rural areas cannot afford disposable sanitary products. They are forced to use rags and leaves to help manage their flow. They are too embarrassed to go to school.

Rotary International and Women To Be provide underwear and reusable, washable sanitary pads to give girls what they need each month to stay in school and get an education. These pads last three years.  Girls receive a reproductive health class to teach them how their bodies work and what to expect in marital intimacy.

We have even established 2 sewing centers in Nepal employing local women to sew our pads.

Ride or walk and have fun with other participants as you support this meaningful cause that elevates the quality of life for young women in Nepal.
